Norm-Free Radon-Nikodym Approach to Machine Learning
نویسنده
چکیده
For Machine Learning (ML) classification problem, where a vector of x–observations (values of attributes) is mapped to a single y value (class label), a generalized Radon– Nikodym type of solution is proposed. Quantum–mechanics –like probability states ψ2(x) are considered and “Cluster Centers”, corresponding to the extremums of < yψ2(x) > / < ψ2(x) >, are found from generalized eigenvalues problem. The eigenvalues give possible y[i] outcomes and corresponding to them eigenvectors ψ[i](x) define “Cluster Centers”. The projection of a ψ state, localized at given x to classify, on these eigenvectors define the probability of y[i] outcome, thus avoiding using a norm (L2 or other types), required for “quality criteria” in a typical Machine Learning technique. A coverage of each ‘Cluster Center” is calculated, what potentially allows to separate system properties (described by y[i] outcomes) and system testing conditions (described by C [i] coverage). As an example of such application y distribution estimator is proposed in a form of pairs (y[i], C [i]), that can be considered as Gauss quadratures generalization. This estimator allows to perform y probability distribution estimation in a strongly non–Gaussian case.

A Banach spaceX with the property that every absolutely continuousX−valued function is almost everywhere differentiable is said to be a Radon-Nikodym space [7, pp. 217–219] or [2, 13] (see also [3]). For example, every reflexive Banach space (in particular, every Hilbert space) is a Radon-Nikodym space, but the space L∞ [0, 1] of all K−valued, essentially bounded functions defined on the interv...
متن کاملComputability of the Radon-Nikodym Derivative
We show that computability of the Radon-Nikodym derivative of a measure μ absolutely continuous w.r.t. some other measure λ can be reduced to a single application of the non-computable operator EC, which transforms enumeration of sets (in N) to their characteristic functions. We also give a condition on the two measures (in terms of the computability of the norm of a certain linear operator inv...

Given a completely positive ~CP! map T, there is a theorem of the Radon– Nikodym type @W. B. Arveson, Acta Math. 123, 141 ~1969!; V. P. Belavkin and P. Staszewski, Rep. Math. Phys. 24, 49 ~1986!# that completely characterizes all CP maps S such that T2S is also a CP map. This theorem is reviewed, and several alternative formulations are given along the way. We then use the Radon–Nikodym formali...
